The Opportunity

This individual in this position is responsible for maintaining IT services across the network. They will manage our help desk and third-party service provider, while also troubleshooting issues for employees across different office locations. They will participate in the development of our IT strategy.

Work Location: Hybrid – in office 2 days per week minimum. Limited travel to other offices.

The qualified candidate will:

• Maintain day to day IT support services across the network and individual end points
• Manage third-party helpdesk and service vendors
• Maintain all IT licensures
• Assist in new desktop installations
• Technical troubleshooting issues for all computers/hardware/software
• Maintain fixed asset records with computer equipment and software
• Assist in development and lead the implementation of the strategic IT roadmap to support the growth of the firm
• Stay current with technology trends to modify the strategy, incorporating any differences to the projected future state
• Maintain systems (software/SAAS) and their integrations (ERP\MRP, CRM, HRIS, LMS, DMS, PM\PIM, O365, MDM) and software licenses to support business objectives
• Develop and obtain buy-in for IT policies (i.e.Sans, NIST, CSI) to meet any required compliance requirements
• Establish and report on applicable metrics to measure IT effectiveness
• Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers to obtain value for dollars spent and quality customer service to the company
• Manage the annual technology budget, IT assets, and third-party support to support business plans and growth objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to technology (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience leading technology efforts and/or department in a similarly sized organization (~100 employees) with a proven track record of success
• Experience in an engineering or technical design environment with CAD and engineering software deployed across internal network across multiple locations preferred
• Proficient in Active Directory, Windows Server management, networking, and Veeam
• Hands-on manager of IT infrastructure and third-party vendors
• Innovative, collaborative, and driven to exceed internal client expectations
• Analytical with strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated strengths in attention to detail, communication (verbal and written), organization, and management capabilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Understanding current/future technology and its application to support the company’s goals
• Familiarity with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Bentley OpenRoads, and Nutanix preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Work is primarily performed in an office environment
• Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
